FRANCHISE INTERNATIONAL MALAYSIA (FIM) Exhibition & Conference is an annual franchise event officially organised by the Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA) together with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN). FIM, supported by the World Franchise Council (WFC) and Asia Pacific Franchise Confederation (APFC), serves as the perfect event to reach franchisepreneurs; FIM 2024 promises to be an exciting and rewarding event for both the business community and consumers.
Trip objectives:
1. Business Expansion Opportunities: Showcase your brand at the 31st Franchise International Malaysia 2024 Exhibition to reach potential partners & drive business leads for market entry. This event offers over 200 exhibition spaces targeting more than 15,000 visitors.
2. Market Understanding / Networking:
a. Market visit (successful retail brands) – to understand challenges, consumer trends, marketing channels, promotion mechanics, etc. (to prepare/minimise pitfalls of Singapore companies)
b. Visit & hear from local landlords – to better understand business practises in Malaysia, leasing conditions/terms, etc
c. Conference (in conjunction with FIM 2024)
Eligible enterprises may also apply for the Double Tax Deduction for Internationalisation Scheme (DTDi) to cover expenses incurred during trade missions and/or fair participation. However, the application is only for expenses that are not covered by the LEAD programme (for example, travel and accommodation for up to two representatives per company).
