Mitsuba Japanese Restaurant Pte Ltd (“Mitsuba”) was established in May 2014 with its sole flagship outlet at The Central. In August 2021 (in the middle of the Pandemic), it expanded from 200sm to 500sm and currently offers three main menus – Regular Buffet, Premium Buffet and Simply Alacarte. Over 80,000 dine annually at the restaurant; the majority opting for the all-you-can-eat buffet menus with its signature Thick Cut Sashimi.


Founded by WILLIAM CHIA, retired banker and International Kikisake-shi who believes that one can enjoy a sumptuous and healthy Japanese meal without burning a hole in the pocket. Hence, his instruction to his team – focus on quality and proper preparation of food, fast and friendly service, conducive dining settings, and teamwork.


The restaurant is managed by JOHN CHIA, director. Assisting him is LOW CHEE HUI, executive chef.
