Description GOPIZZA embarked on its journey in 2016 by opening a food truck at Seoul Night Market and launching pop-up stores in South Korea's top three departmental stores, including Hyundai, Lotte, and SSG. In 2017, we expanded rapidly, opening 30 department store pop-ups across Korea, securing $300,000 in funding from five angel investors, and obtaining certification as a 'venture' company while filing its initial technology patent for GOVEN.

Our growth continued in 2019 with the establishment of its GOPIZZA dough factory, Forbes 30 Under 30 recognition, and international expansion in Bangalore, India, alongside Series A funding of $4 million USD, surpassing 40 stores. In 2020, GOPIZZA ventured into Singapore, achieved “Unicorn growth” certification from the Korean government, and secured Series A+ funding of $1.5 million USD, reaching over 100 global stores. The following years witnessed remarkable milestones, including Series B funding of $11 million USD, the appointment of actor Lee Dong Wook as Brand Ambassador, and systemwide sales exceeding $20 million USD by 2021.

In 2022, GOPIZZA expanded its footprint by partnering with CGV, launching an Innovation Center, and securing Series C funding of $20 million USD. By 2023, we had introduced innovative products like Crispy Basak Dough, opened a Parbake Production Center in Indonesia, and accompanied the President of Korea on a U.S. trip, leading to official pizza dinners at the President Office and earning the prestigious title of a “Soonicorn” Company. With the opening of its 3rd flagship store at the Mall of Indonesia, GOPIZZA celebrated its journey from a modest food truck to a global phenomenon with over 50 stores overseas.
